KOKRAJHAR: An initiative drive for the “Rashteiya Kritagyata Evan Jagrookta Yojana” was held with 25 days in Kokrajhar district to various schools and colleges concluded recently. The event took place at Deborgaon HS School, UN Academy, Kokrajhar, Jharbari High School, Government College, Kokrajhar, Fakiragram College, Kochugaon HE School, Zamduar College, Swrang High School, Chandrapara High & ME School, Titaguri High School, Laimwnswrang High School, Magurmari High School, Bhotgaon High School, Bodofa UN Brahma College Dotma, Harinaguri High School and Banargaon High School. The initiative was spearheaded by the governor, Laskshman Prasad Acharya, in collaboration with the Directorate of Sainik Welfare, Assam, and the District Administration of Kokrajhar. The event was conducted as per the planning of Honorary Captain Karna Kumar Brahma (Retired) Zila Sainik Welfare Officer Kokrajhar and saw the presence of several dignitaries, including Nitya Vinod Warie, ACS, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kokrajhar, Army Officers from 135 Infantry Battalion Territorial Army and esteemed academicians such as Dr. Sahalad Borgayary and JD Herembeswar Basumatary, both from CIT Kokrajhar, Dr. Sijousa Basumatary from Bodoland University, Dr. Bimal Kanti Basumatary from Govt College Kokrajhar, and Honorary Captain Prem Kumar Brahma (Retired) and Subedar Khargeswar Basumatary (Retd). Honorary Captain Karna Kumar Brahma (Retired), Zila Sainik Welfare Officer of Kokrajhar, extended a warm welcome to the guests and participants on every programmes, setting the stage for an insightful and inspiring event.
The primary objective of the drive was to enhance understanding and encourage holistic development and capacity building among students. The initiative focused on key thematic areas, including “Patriotism Instilling”, which is instilling a sense of national pride and responsibility among students. and Defence Knowledge – Educating students about India’s defence forces and their contributions”, “Indian Culture – Promoting awareness and appreciation of India’s rich cultural heritage”. “Ethics and Discipline – This initiative marks an important step towards nurturing responsible and aware citizens”, aligning with the broader vision of national growth and unity. The event concluded on a high note, with participants expressing enthusiasm and appreciation for the knowledge and values imparted through the programme.
