BOKAKHAT: A tragic incident occurred on Saturday in Kuruwabahi Nagonja village under Bokakhat Police Station, where a seven-year-old child drowned after falling into a water-filled pit near his house. The child, identified as Prince Das, had been missing since early morning.

Due to heavy rainfall, the pit—originally dug with a JCB—had accumulated water. It is suspected that the child accidentally slipped and fell into it.

The atmosphere in Nagonja village is one of deep grief. Meanwhile, Bokakhat police have arrived at the scene and are taking the necessary action.
