SIVASAGAR: The Sivasagar Town Water Supply Project has started under AMRUT 2.0, aiming to improve the town's water supply infrastructure. Work is currently underway in the Babupatty area, addressing its urgent water supply problems.

Local residents have expressed their support for the project. The project is being carried out by the Mission Directorate of AMRUT, Assam. Officials have assured that work will soon begin in other parts of the town.

The goal of the AMRUT mission is to ensure cities become "water secure" by enhancing their water supply systems.

Meanwhile, the Sivasagar Municipal Office has started a project to document land records by surveying properties in wards 1 to 14, using satellite technology to map both government and private lands. The survey has already begun in the Chak Bazar area.

To ensure smooth execution, the municipal office has requested residents’ cooperation by providing accurate land record details. This initiative aims to improve transparency and streamline administrative processes within the Sivasagar municipality.

On Wednesday, senior officials from the Sivasagar district administration and health department inspected various healthcare facilities across the district to evaluate and improve healthcare services.
