PATHSALA: A comprehensive skill development programme, held from July 14 to August 3, successfully empowered 32 underprivileged women with essential tailoring and cutting skills. The initiative, led by the Office of the District Social Welfare Officer, Bajali, was conducted under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme.
As part of the programme, two batches of trainees participated in a 10-day workshop focusing on business planning and startup strategies. The training aimed to provide the women not only with technical skills but also the knowledge required to establish and manage their own tailoring businesses.
On August 4, all 32 participants were awarded certificates and a handbook manual, marking a key milestone in their path to entrepreneurship and economic independence. This initiative highlights the district’s commitment to empowering women through skill development, contributing to their self-sufficiency and overall community upliftment.
