Haflong: Joint Secretary, NCHAC, Rebecca Changsan along with Joint Director, Medical & Health Services, Dr. Naba Kumar Bailung and DPO, Dima Hasao, Rukmini Difosa informed the media persons that Dima Hasao Health Services will organize Special Health Camps on April 1.
In Dima Hasao, the camps will be conducted Constituency Development Committee - wise in all 28 constituencies to ensure maximum coverage and benefits to the community.
These health camps aimed to provide comprehensive medical services to the community, including free health check-ups, specialist consultations, awareness programmes, and the distribution of essential medicines.
During the press meet, secretary Rebecca Changsan, appealed to all people to participate in the health camps and undergo health check-ups. She emphasized that specialist doctors will conduct health screenings to provide immediate medical attention and advice. Additionally, the camps will feature drawing and quiz competitions to encourage community participation and raise awareness about healthy practice. Yoga sessions will be organized to promote holistic well-being and stress management, along with skit presentations, selfie point, and healthy food stalls.
Dr. Naba Kumar Bailung informed that the inaugural of health camp will take place on April 1, at the Government Boys Higher Secondary Schools, Haflong. This marks the beginning of a sustained healthcare service that will continue beyond the launch date, covering all CDCs. Registration for participation in the health mela will be open from 9.30am to 2.00pm.
