Assam: Speeding Train Kills Father-Son In Train Accident In Dhubri

The incident took place at around 9 am when the Dhubri-Kamakhya fast passenger train was crossing the railway bridge over the Sankosh River in Bilasipara.

Guwahati: A speeding train hit a father-son duo and the collision led to their death. The incident occurred at Bilasipara in the Dhubri district of Assam on May 7.

The incident took place at around 9 am when the Dhubri-Kamakhya fast passenger train was crossing the railway bridge over the Sankosh River in Bilasipara.

The train was travelling towards Kamakhya in Guwahati from Dhubri.

The deceased have been identified as Yusuf Ali (40) and his son Saidur Islam and they hailed from Jamunatari village of Kokrajhar district.

The locals have said that the father-son duo were not aware about a train passing by when they were crossing the bridge and they did not know about it as they were not residents of the area.

Earlier, in a shocking incident in the Dhubri district of Assam, a train charging at full speed rammed into a passenger vehicle at the railway crossing of an unmanned railway gate.

The incident had took place on 18 February in the Boniamari area that comes under Golakganj which is in the Dhubri district of Assam.

According to reports, the incident occured as a speeding demon train hit the Vehicle at the railway crossing in Boniamari. The four-wheeler identified as Alto got badly damaged as a result of the train's violent crash.

It was reported that the train was moving from Siliguri in West Bengal and at the time of the accident it was heading towards new Bongaigaon.

The train was coming from one side and at that moment the Alto car was trying to cross the railway crossing before the arrival of the train.

Sources informed there was no rail gate at the railway crossing where the incident took place on Friday evening.
