Assam: SSS Files Complaint Against TAYPA Leader Uddipta Gogoi at Nagaon Sadar Police Station

NAGAON: Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev Sangha, a prominent socio-religious organization in Assam, has filed a complaint against Uddipta Gogoi, leader of the Tai Ahom Yuva Parishad, Assam (TAYPA), and his associates at the Nagaon Sadar Police Station.

The complaint, filed by the Sangha’s Padadhikar Bhavendra Nath Deka and General Secretary Kushal Thakuria, alleged that on February 17, Uddipta Gogoi and his associates from the Tai Ahom Yuva Parishad, Assam, had burned the flag and a copy of the Constitution of the Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev Sangha in public, hurting the sentiments of the Sangha’s members and the people of Assam. The Sangha, in its complaint, stated that such acts of vandalism and hate speech by the Tai Ahom Yuva Parishad, Assam, and its leaders were a threat to peace and harmony in the state and demanded immediate action against the perpetrators.

The complaint was filed in the presence of several senior officials of the Sangha, including its Padadhikar Bhavendra Nath Deka, general secretary Kushal Thakuria, Deputy Padadhikar Chandra Hazarika, Joint Secretary Harendra Nath Bora, and others.  The Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev Sangha is a prominent socio-religious organization in Assam, working towards promoting peace, harmony, and social welfare in the state.
