TAMULPUR: The District Commissioner of Tamulpur, Pankaj Chakravarty, ACS, led two important meetings to review sanitation and renewable energy projects in the district.

In the first meeting with the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department, officials discussed checking household toilets, finishing Material Collection Facilities (MCF) on time, and ensuring people have proper sanitation.

In the second meeting, Chakravarty led the District Level Committee discussion on the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. The focus was on selecting villages for the Model Solar Village status, highlighting the district’s efforts towards clean energy and sustainability.

Meanwhile, earlier last week, the District Development Committee meeting for Sonitpur was held at the DC’s Conference Hall, chaired by District Commissioner Ankur Bharali, ACS. The meeting had covered several key topics aimed at improving the region's development.

The discussions were about making sure mothers gave birth in hospitals, completing all vaccinations, and keeping track of tap water connections for homes. The committee also highlighted the need to use the JJM NHM app properly to improve health and infrastructure services.

As the Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit is slated for February 25-26, the district was getting ready for a local investment workshop. This workshop took place on February 10 in collaboration with Biswanath district to identify investment opportunities and support economic growth.
