TEZPUR: Tezpur University (TU) is poised to host the Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship (IDE) Bootcamp from February 17 to February 21 after being selected as one of the 12 locations across the country for Edition 2 (Phase II) of the initiative. Envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for nurturing innovation, design, and entrepreneurial skills of student innovators, IDE Bootcamps are organized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) in collaboration with the selected institution and knowledge partner Wadhwani Foundation.
The primary objective of the 5-day immersive and experiential learning bootcamp is to equip participants with necessary skills and acumen to successfully thrive in the global business environment.
As the nodal centre for the five-day event, School of Engineering (SoE) Tezpur University has received confirmation from AICTE regarding participation of over 300 students including faculty and industry mentors from various parts of the country. The modular structure of the bootcamp is aimed at equipping students with skills pertaining to innovation, design thinking, opportunity discovery, market orientation, business models, product design, financial projections, and pitch presentations to name a few.
Along with the resource base of Tezpur University, trainers from Wadhwani Foundation, subject matter experts from varied domains, successful entrepreneurs, innovators and officials of the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell shall play key roles in the modular training programmes. For the entire Northeastern Region, the bootcamp promises to be an extravaganza of skill development, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
