Assam: Three-day art and craft workshop concludes in Bongaigaon

BONGAIGAON: A 3-day long art and craft workshop, organized by RIP’s Kala Kendra of Bongaigaon ended successfully on Wednesday.

Ajay Ray, national-level artiste and Proprietor of RIPs’ Kala Kendra, said that 75 students had participated in this workshop. “Renowned Art and Craft artiste Utpal Das, Kandarpa Rabha, Amarendra Thakuria, and I were also present here as trainers. We tried to give some new techniques and new ideas in the art and craft sector through this workshop,” Ray stated.

On the final day, a meeting was organized at Prakash Bhawan of Dolaigaon. The programme was started with the lighting of a lamp by Phatik Kalita, Principal of Pandit Dindayal Upadhyay College. Several noted persons including Bidyut Sarma, Brajen Ray, Niren Das, Prasanta Ray, Bhupen Nath, etc. were present in this meeting. The participants were awarded certificates in this programme.
