KOKRAJHAR: A two-day district-level training programme on Incident Response System (IRS) was inaugurated by Kokrajhar DC Masanda M. Pertin on Friday at the Bodoland Administrative Staff College, Kokrajhar.
Organized by the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Kokrajhar, in collaboration with the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), Guwahati, the training aims to equip participants with advanced knowledge and skills in disaster response management.
The first day of the training focused on the Revised Incident Response System and the roles and responsibilities of the Incident Response Team (IRT). On January 4, the programme featured a Tabletop Exercise (TTE) followed by a Field Simulation Drill (Mock Exercise), ensuring practical exposure to disaster response scenarios.
Key dignitaries, including ADCs Kabita Deka and Jituraj Gogoi, and Resource Person, Dr. Kripal Jyoti Mazumder, Programme Officer (DM), ASDMA, Guwahati along with representatives from various departments, such as Land Revenue & Disaster Management (LR & DM), Health & Family Welfare (H & FW), Fire & Emergency Services (F & ESS), CISF and APRO were present on the occasion.
