
Guwahati: A two-day photo exhibition-cum-outreach programme organized by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Field Office, Tezpur, commenced on Thursday at the Nalapara Jeuti Sangha premises in Udalguri. The theme of the exhibition is “Viksit Bharat @ 2047”, aligning with the vision of a developed India by the year 2047. The primary objective of this exhibition is to raise awareness about the Central Government’s vision for a prosperous and developed India by 2047. It also aims to showcase the government’s schemes, policies, and initiatives introduced since 2014, highlighting the progress made towards achieving the goal of a Viksit Bharat.
The event was inaugurated by Sanjit Tanti, Executive Member, Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). In his inaugural address, Tanti emphasized the importance of government efforts and initiatives in shaping the future of the country. He noted the significance of collective participation in making India a developed nation by 2047 and highlighted the ongoing efforts being made to ensure progress at all levels.
He also acknowledged that the government is actively working on various schemes aimed at socio-economic development, with a special focus on empowering the people at the grassroots level. According to him, exhibitions like this help raise awareness about these policies, bringing them closer to the public and ensuring their active involvement. Tanti also spoke about Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann ki Baat’ and urged everyone to listen to this informative radio prgramme regularly.
Mohakshi Dutta Hazarika, General Manager, DI&CC, Udalguri, in his speech highlighted various central government schemes like PMEGP (Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme) and PM Viswakarma. He informed the audience about how such schemes are helping to promote self-employment.
Barnali Mahanta, Field Publicity Officer, Field office, Tezpur, delivered the welcome address. The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Rumita Das, Assistant Commissioner, Bhergaon Sub-division, Sumit Thackeray, Assistant Commandant, SSB, 24th Battalion, and others. These dignitaries, along with other local community leaders, shared their thoughts on the government’s role in fostering development and ensuring a better future for all citizens. Earlier in the day, Swachhata activities and a plantation drive also took place. A health camp for free health check up and a stall of Department of Agriculture displaying their products has also been set up at the exhibition venue.
The exhibition features more than 40 photo panels that detail the government’s key achievements and initiatives aimed at building a “Viksit Bharat” by 2047. These panels serve as a visual representation of the remarkable progress achieved across various sectors, including infrastructure, healthcare, education, and economic development.
In addition to the exhibition, the programme also includes a series of competitions for public. These include art, dance, quiz competitions and other activities. The competitions will be held throughout the two-day event, providing an interactive platform for public to showcase their talents and ideas related to India’s development.
The exhibition is open to the public and aims to engage citizens of all ages, raising awareness about the government’s efforts and vision for a developed and self-reliant India by 2047, stated a press release.
