KOKRAJHAR: In a thoughtful gesture aimed at supporting children during the monsoon season, Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club as a part of Corporate Social Responsibility donated 123 umbrellas to all the students of Chedamari LP School, under Kalipukhuri Council Development Committee (VCDC), Kokrajhar. The donation was led by Kasturi Maitra, President of Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club, who personally handed over the umbrellas to the young students. Speaking on the occasion, she emphasized the importance of ensuring that children have the basic amenities needed to attend school regularly and comfortably, especially during the upcoming rainy season. She expressed the club’s continued commitment to community welfare and child-friendly initiatives.

Soumya Kar, vice president of the club, also interacted warmly with the children and highlighted the need for such interventions in rural schools. She encouraged the students to continue their education with dedication and assured them of the club’s support in future as well.
