Assam: Woman Allegedly Killed By Lover In Guwahati; Probe Launched

GUWAHATI: In a shocking incident, a woman was allegedly killed by her lover in Guwahati. The deceased has been identified as Junu Rajbongshi. As per reports, Junu, who worked as a street vendor, was in a relationship with a man named Vijay after the death of her husband. Vijay is now considered to be the prime suspect in her murder.

A heated argument reportedly broke out between Junu and Vijay on Saturday night. Junu's family members were concerned when her phone turned off following the spat.

Her lifeless body was tragically discovered today. Following the discovery, the Basistha police swiftly reached the crime scene and initiated an investigation into the case.

In order to determine the motive behind the murder, the police are expected to question Vijay and others close to the victim. As the investigation unfolds, further details are awaited.

In another shocking incident, a man allegedly attempted to murder his wife and assaulted his two daughters in Kahilipara. According to reports, Hemanta Barman stabbed his wife, Usha Devi, with a knife, leaving her critically injured.

Usha Devi was admitted to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for treatment. The incident took a disturbing turn when it was revealed that Barman’s two daughters were also beaten by their father. The daughters filed a complaint against their father and have lodged an FIR at the local police station.
