SIVASAGAR: A startling incident occurred at the historic Vishnu Dol in Sivasagar, Assam, when a young woman was spotted climbing to the top of the ancient temple and screaming in distress. The event unfolded in the presence of numerous visitors, causing widespread alarm among onlookers.

Eyewitnesses reported that the unidentified woman ascended the temple wall using bamboo scaffolding that had been erected for ongoing cleaning and maintenance work. Once she reached the top, she sat down and began shouting incoherently, which raised concerns about her mental state among those present.

The weird scene continued for a few minutes as the woman remained seated on the temple's upper structure, leaving everyone wondering about her mental state. The local police were informed and personnel from the Sivasagar Police and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) arrived at the location in a while.

Following a thorough negotiation process, officials managed to bring the woman down safely without sustaining any injuries. The incident has raised serious concerns over the security protocols that are in place at such protected heritage sites as the Vishnu Dol.
