NALBARI: On Saraswati Puja day in Nalbari, Assam, a tragic incident was reported about a young couple who ventured out to celebrate the festival. According to reports, the teenage girl and her boyfriend had taken poison during the celebration, and both were admitted to the hospital. Unfortunately, the girl did not survive, while the young man is still fighting for his life.

After this incident, the girl's family has made grave allegations against them stating that the incident was an act of murder and preplanned. According to them, the boy tricked the girl into drinking poison, and what the boy did was a kind of "drama". According to them, this is not the first incident, and the boy had forced her to drink poison earlier also.

Their relationship has also been debated; the girl's family said they had a romantic relationship once, but that had fizzled out. They claim that the young man took the girl forcefully on the day of the incident.

The youth is admitted in a Guwahati hospital. His family members claimed that the couple was still together. According to the reports, it is said that the girl's father had scolded them on the occasion of Saraswati Puja celebrations. In this regard, Nalbari police have been informed, and the police are investigating the matter.
