Assam: Young Girl Escapes Alleged Gang Rape Attempt On Moving Bus In Sribhumi

SRIBHUMI: In a despicable incident in Sribhumi district of Assam, a young girl allegedly escaped a gang rape attempt as she was traveling by bus. The driver and three other men allegedly assaulted her during the trip, but she resisted their move. When she refused to give in, the accused reportedly pushed her off the bus.

The victim was travelling on the bus from Badarpurghat to Chargola when the terrible incident occurred. She was thrown out of the bus and was picked up by local people, who found her critically injured on the road. They took her straight away to the nearest hospital for instant medical attention.

The incident has unleashed widespread protests across Sribhumi, and various community groups have demanded immediate action and stringent punishment for those responsible. Public outcry is indicative of an emerging concern for public safety and security.

As a response to the incident, law enforcement officers have filed a case and started an investigation in order to arrest the suspects. Officials are trying hard to gather evidence and deliver justice to the victim. The people in the area are still in a state of alert waiting for developments on this disturbing case.

Meanwhile, earlier this year, Dhekiajuli Police arrested two minor boys from a hideout in the Dhirai Tea Estate area under Dhekiajuli Police Station. As per police report, the duo tried to rape a 14-year-old minor girl on January 14. Acting on a tip off, the Dhekiajuli Police, under the supervision of Dipak Talukdar, SI Dhekiajuli Police Station, carried out a search operation at the Dhirai Tea Estate area and arrested the two accused.
