Assam's COVID-19 positive cases spike to 28 as one more detected

Assam: Assam COVID-19 positive cases have reached 28 on April 7 as the presence of the deadly virus has been found in a person from Hailakandi. Informing this Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma Tuesday tweeted, “A person from Hailakandi with a travel history to Saudi Arabia has been confirmed positive for COVID-19. The total number of Coronavirus cases in Assam is now 28.” Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma claimed that this case along with the majority of these cases has been linked with the controversial religious congregation held in South Delhi's Nizamuddin Dargah last month.
