Assam's PHE Minister, Jayanta Malla Baruah Reviews Schemes, Grants Aid in Nalbari

Assam's PHE Minister, Jayanta Malla Baruah, reviewed key welfare schemes in Nalbari with DC Varnali Deka and officials.

NALBARI: Minister of Public Health Engineering (PHE) of Assam, Jayanta Malla Baruah, held a review meeting in Nalbari today to check the progress of important welfare schemes in the district. The meeting was attended by Nalbari's Deputy Commissioner, Varnali Deka, IAS, and other officials.

Jayanta Malla Baruah checked the progress of schemes like Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan, Orunodoi 3.0, and Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan. He told officials to make sure they are completed on time and properly benefit the people.

In a significant development, Jayanta Malla Baruah also ceremonially handed over a cheque amounting to Rs. 31,24,326 from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to the Vice Chancellor of Kumar Bhaskar Varma Sanskrit and Ancient Studies University and DC Nalbari, Varnali Deka. This financial aid has been extended to facilitate the purchase of a bus, aimed at improving transportation services for students and faculty of the university.

Meanwhile, earlier yesterday, the Deputy Commissioner of Nalbari, Varnali Deka, IAS, had led an important meeting with district officials to plan for the upcoming Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit. The discussions had focused on working together to make the event successful and impactful in the district. 

During the discussion, the Nalbari DC had emphasized the need for seamless collaboration among various departments to showcase the district’s potential and contribute effectively to the larger vision of Advantage Assam 2.0. Officials had deliberated on key aspects, including infrastructure readiness, promotional activities, and stakeholder engagement, to maximize the district’s participation and opportunities in the investment summit.
