DIPRO holds meeting with press clubs in Lakhimpur; National Flags distributed

LAKHIMPUR: As a part of the attempts initiated to make Har Ghar Tiranga campaign successful in the Lakhimpur district, the District Information and Public Relation Officer (DIPRO) organized a meeting with all the press clubs, guilds of the district on Thursday.

The presidents and secretaries of the press clubs and guilds, DIPRO staff, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lakhimpur Zila Parishad, Tripurendra Pator, who is the member- secretary of the District Level Implementation Committee for Har Ghar Tiranga, were present in the meeting.

In the meeting, DIPRO Mandira Chayengiya called upon the members of the 16 press clubs, guilds of the district to make wide publicity about the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and to create awareness among the masses on the same. CEO of Lakhimpur Zila Parishad, Tripurendra Pator also appealed to the journalists of the district to extend help to the common people with regard to keeping the National Flag hoisted in their households from August 13 to August 15. In this regard, he called upon the journalists of the district to extend their cooperation to the District Level Implementation Committee. In the same meeting the DIPRO distributed National Flags to the press clubs and the guilds under the auspices of her office

On the other hand, the Lakhimpur District Level Implementation Committee for Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, which was constituted with the Deputy Commissioner as chairman, Zilla Parishad CEO as member-secretary, Superintendent of Police, District Development Commissioner, all the Circle Officers, Executive Officer of Municipal Board, Joint Director of Health Services, District Transport Officer, District Elementary Education Officer, General Manager of DICC, Inspector of Schools, District Agriculture Officer, Deputy Director, Food & Civil Supply, Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Society, District Social Welfare Officer and District Information & Public Relation Officer as members, has initiated extensive steps across the district to make the campaign successful, informed the DIPRO. The committee, after chalking out a special strategy for the implementation of the same, has taken necessary steps for generating awareness for the successful celebration of the Har Ghar Tiranga from August 13 to August 15.
