Awareness programme on child right issues held in Goalpara
An awareness programme on the different aspects of the child right issues was held on Tuesday at the conference hall of the Baladmari gaon panchayat near Goalpara town.

GOALPARA: An awareness programme on the different aspects of the child right issues was held on Tuesday at the conference hall of the Baladmari gaon panchayat near Goalpara town. The programme was organized by the non-government organization Ranghar-Creative in association with the Assam Commission for Protection of Child Rights and supported by the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, Assam.
Meghali Bordoloi, secretary of the organization, Nandini Das and Mridushmita Dutta, counsellors of ASCPCR, Meri Hazarika, Assistant Commissioner, Mostafa Hussain, DCPO, and many others spoke on the occasion and emphasized creating large-scale awareness about the rights a child enjoys under the law of the state.
Meghali Bordoloi appealed the society to create a conducive environment so that the children feel protected, express themselves and can enjoy their freedom upto the age of 18 years. Meri Hazarika focused on the different aspects of the right to education. She said that every child should get the opportunity to educate themselves which will help them becoming a good citizen of the country.
Besides, hundreds of common people as well as the school children, Manindra Adhikary, former DSWO, Rejina Sultana, CDPO of Krishnai Balijana ICDS Project and several other dignitaries were present in the meeting.
