Awareness Session on PMMVY held in Nagaon to boost beneficiary registration

NAGAON: A special registration campaign and awareness session was organized by the Women Empowerment Centre under the District Women’s and Child Development Department on Tuesday here. The event was organized at the Amani Sector under the Bajiagaon Integrated Child Development Project.

The programme was inaugurated by Deepa Shyam, Project Officer of the Bajiagaon Integrated Child Development Project. She urged all eligible beneficiaries and pregnant mothers to take advantage of the Pradhan Mantri Matri Vandana Yojana.

Over 15 beneficiaries participated in the campaign. Deepa Shyam explained the objectives of the programme and encouraged all eligible beneficiaries to register and avail the benefits of the scheme.

Quin Borah, District Programme Coordinator of the Women Empowerment Centre, facilitated the registration process by opening accounts through the Indian Post Payment Bank. The event was attended by Chief Sevika Chisirkana Roy, Shubhadra Bora, Moushumi Gayan Tamuli, and beneficiaries.

The Project Officer appealed to the Anganwadi workers and Chief Sevika to ensure timely completion of all tasks for the beneficiaries. Nabiul Hazarika, Block Coordinator of Poshan, resolved the FRS issues of several beneficiaries, enabling them to receive the PMMVY instalments.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Moushumi Gayan Tamuli, Chief Sevika of the Amani Sector.
