Barpeta DC Munindra Sharma holds meeting with representatives of political parties

A CORRESPONDENT BARPETA:

Following the Election Commission of India' notification about the dates for the forthcoming polls, the Barpeta District Administration held a meeting here on Saturday to ensure smooth and peaceful conduct of the elections in Barpeta. The meeting was attended by representatives of all the political parties besides senior officials of Barpeta District Administration and district information and public relations officer Bikash Sharma.

Barpeta Deputy Commissioner Munindra Sharma directed the representatives of the political parties not to hold any meetings without permission from the administration. He urged all political parties to immediately remove all banners/hoardings erected in public places without permission. He also urged the political parties not to touch banners/posters of other parties.

DC Munindra Sarma called upon all political parties to work together for the peaceful conduct of the assam elections 2021 in the district.
