GOLAGHAT: Sharp reactions have been prevailing against the move to hand over 10 hectares of seed farm land at Fallangani Gaon in Golaghat district to Ramdev’s Patanjali company for growing palm oil.
Today, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Golaghat District President Pulin Gogoi reacted sharply to the move. In a press statement released by the party in Golaghat, Gogoi said that the Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma-led BJP and AGP coalition government is used to giving away land. He accused the government of allotting agricultural land to big capitalists and slapping on the face of the indigenous people. Gogoi warned the government that even 1 inch of land would not be allowed to be given to Ramdev’s company. The act of giving land to an outside company in this way is very disgusting, he added.
The AAP Golaghat District Committee demanded that Agriculture Minister Atul Bora should also clarify his position.
