BISWANATH CHARIALI: The Biswanath district administration has filed a case against a CRPF personnel named Manoj Kumar Mahanta of Chatiya Patorbasti for violating the rules of quarantine. According to information, the CRPF personnel, who was stationed in Kashmir, was quarantined at Biswanath College quarantine camp after his return from Kashmir on June 29. Later, he wanted to shift to a hotel due to health-related issues and accordingly, he was allowed to do so. But Mahanta reached his village to allegedly party with his friends instead of going to the allotted hotel on Friday evening. The incident put the administration in an awkward situation. When the CRPF personnel returned to the hotel, the Revenue Circle Officer of Biswanath lodged an FIR in Biswanath Chariali police station. A case was registered bearing no 174/2020 under sections 188/269/270/271 against Mahanta.
