Biswanath Police recovered stolen smartphones at Jharoni village

Guwahati: In continuation of the investigation of Biswanath Chariali PS Case no. 48/ 2020 u/s 457/ 380 IPC, on the basis of confession made by remand accused/ mastermind Md. Ekramul Hussain, an operation was carried out by a team of Biswanath Police. 8 stolen smartphones and 23 stolen basic keypad phones were recovered from a plastic sack hidden in Ekramul’s in-law’s place located at Jharoni village under Tezpur PS. It may be mentioned that even on the night of February 11, the team had managed to recover 5 stolen smartphones. A total of 36 handsets were recovered from today’s search operation. Further investigation is on, stated a press release.
