KHERONI: In a significant advancement during the Sangathan Parva 2024-25, the Assam BJP has unveiled the names of district presidents across the state. Notably, Radip Ronghang and Roland Kiling have successfully retained their roles as the presidents of Karbi Anglong West and Karbi Anglong East districts, respectively.

This reshuffle is part of a larger organizational revamp aimed at strengthening the party’s structure from the grassroots level to the national stage. According to party sources, the overhaul includes the reconstitution of Booth Committees, the National Committee, and the Parliamentary Board, all designed to enhance the party's operational efficiency and readiness for future elections.

With district-level announcements now complete, attention will turn to the state leadership. The BJP’s national leadership has appointed Union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat as the in-charge to oversee the election of the Assam State President.

The Sangathan Parv is a pivotal phase for the BJP as it seeks to solidify its organizational foundation in preparation for the 2024-25 electoral cycle.

Meanwhile, earlier today, veterans like Mission Ranjan Das and Parimal Shuklabaidya added a “big boys play at night’ twist as the BJP leaderships picked up Sanjib Banik and Rupam Saha as the district unit presidents for Sribhumi and Cachar respectively.

For Hailakandi, the party leadership hit a masterstroke as Kalyan Goswami, the municipality chairman facing massive dissidence in the board, was chosen for the district BJP head. Reliable sources confirmed the selections of new presidents of the district BJP units, though the official declaration would be made on Sunday.

However, leaders like state BJP general secretary Kanad Purkayastha had already congratulated the three new district presidents in his social media page.
