BKWAC hailed new Chief Minister-designate Himanta Biswa Sarma

KOKRAJHAR: The Chief Executive Member of Boro Kachari Welfare Autonomous Council (BKWAC) Mihiniswar Basumatary on Sunday hailed the new Chief Minister-designate Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma and hoped that the new State government under him will be able to bring all round development in the State.

Talking to this reporter, Basumatary said the State was in need of a strong and dynamic leader to overcome all the burdens and key issues of Assam. He said Sarma will concentrate on the protection and development of indigenous and tribal people of Assam besides bringing development in multi dimension. He also said he had believe in vibrant Assam under Sarma's rule.

The CEM of BKWAC hoped that the people belonging to tribal and indigenous communities would be protected and ensured their constitutional and political rights during his regime. He further hoped that all outstanding problems of the State will get solved by the new government headed by Sarma.

Basumatary also expressed his gratitude to former CM Sarbananda Sonowal who had brought the State to this level by eliminating corruption and corrupt practices. He said Sonowal had all clean images and dedicated selflessly for the development and peace among all section of people. He thanked Sonowal for his cool and wholehearted cooperation to form new government with Sarma as Chief Minister.
