KOKRAJHAR: Bodoland Janajati Suraksha Mancha (BJSM) on Thursday demanded that the new political party Gana Suraksha Party (GSP) formed under the initiative of Kokrajhar MP Naba Kr Sarania and BTAD Army should be banned immediately as its sole aim was to wage war against a particular tribal community of Assam. The president of the BJSM, Janaklal Basumatary said they had proposed to meet Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal to submit a memorandum demanding to proscribe the formation of O Boro Suraksha Samity, Gana Suraksha Party (a new political party) and BTAD Army under the leadership of Kokrajhar MP Naba Kr. Sarania in connivance with CPI (ML) leader Brajen Mahanta and A. Khan. He said that by forming private army unit and a political party exclusively for non-Bodo people, MP Sarania wanted to wage war and destroy peace and unity in protected notified tribal area.
