Bodoland University Granted 12B Status by UGC

Kokrajhar: In a historic event, the Bodoland University has been granted 12B status by the UGC on Friday. The long-cherished dream of the people of BTC and entire lower Assam has come true. Sources from the University said that under the initiative of BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary, the much-awaited hopes of the people have come into reality.

Meanwhile, the Bodoland Students Union (BSU) thanked Dr. Prahalad Basumatary, Registrar of B.U, Dr. Rajesh Barman Asstt. Professor and HoD of Commerce, B.U and Dr. Kiran Hazarika, UGC member from Northeast India for hard work and dedication to making dream come true. They also thanked all the active members of the B.U community, teaching and non-teaching staff and all the civil organizations for taking special initiative to fulfill the much-awaited hopes of the people.
