BOKAKHAT: In a tragic incident, Joyanta Baruah (25), the elder son of Mahendra Baruah of Napamua village under Bokakhat co-district’s Komargaon Police Station, died by suicide at his residence on Saturday night. The reason for the suicide is not yet known. Komargaon Police took the body to the police station during the night, and a post-mortem was conducted on Sunday.

In a sorrowful turn of events, about a month ago, Mahendra Baruah’s younger son, Hemanta Baruah, was also found dead under suspicious circumstances at Kanaighat in Numaligarh.

The deaths of both sons of Mahendra Baruah cast a shadow of grief over the region.
