Bongaigaon SBI Regional Business Office distributed blankets among the poorest of poor

DHUBRI: Bongaigaon SBI Regional Business Office distributed blankets among the homeless and mentally challenged female inmates at Nevard mental Health hospital on Saturday.

Since its inception in 2011, the State bank of India's Regional Business Office, Bongaigaon has embodied its parent's culture of shouldering social responsibility, source in SBI informed.

It also informed that under its various CSR schemes, the bank has been contributing a lot in promotion of education, sports, conservation of natural resources and heritage, arts and culture etc in the Bongaigaon Region.

Talking to The Sentinel, AGM Gurupada Halder said that social responsibility is deeply ingrained in the culture of SBI and every year unfailingly on the occasion of New Year, they reach out to help the needy.

"We have been conducting many such activities at various old age homes, in and around Bongaigaon", Haldar added.

He said that SBI's deep penetration across the country always provided it with an edge to make a major difference in the social and economic development of the rural and under-developed communities.

And SBI RBO Bongaigaon, has taken up this opportunity to truly, deliver 'Service Beyond Banking' to support inclusive development of the region, he further added.
