BOKO: The family members of the BSF (Border Security Force) female constable who was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Coochbehar in West Bengal on March 20, 2023, want justice.

BSF female constable Dritashree Rabha (28) from Kamrup district’s Dakuapara village under Boko Police Station was attached with the BSF Coochbehar for a karate competition. She joined the BSF in 2017 and she was in Tura BSF camp in Meghalaya, but later she was sent to Coochbehar for a karate tournament.

On March 21, Dhitashree’s body was brought to her home and she was cremated at Boko. Dhitashree’s mother Leela Rabha and younger sister Dipshikha Rabha refuse to believe that she committed suicide. Dipshikha said, “Dhitashree didn't commit suicide, she was murdered.” Meanwhile, she requested Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to intervene in the matter for justice.

Dhitashree’s family members, including mother, younger sister and other family members went to Coochbehar and lodged an FIR in the Pundibari Police Station in Coochbehar.

Meanwhile, leaders of All Rabha Women Council (ARWC) visited Dhitashree’s house and paid their condolences to the family on Saturday evening. Sabita Rabha, ARWC Boko unit’s vice president, said, “Dhitashree was a talented and emerging young woman of the Rabha community, whom we lost. The Rabha tribal women request the Assam Chief Minister to kindly intervene in this matter for justice,” said Sabita Rabha.
