BTAD Army is Creating Disturbances: BJSM President DD Narzary

Kokrajhar: The working president of the Bodoland Janajati Suraksha Mancha (BJSM), DD Narzary slammed the MP of Kokrajhar, Naba Kumar Sarania, alleging that he was trying to create communal disturbance through his BTAD Army and O Boro Suraksha Samity.

DD Narzary alleged that MP Naba Kumar Sarania acquired ST certificate with fraudulent means and became the MP for reserved ST seat in Kokrajhar. But he has been working against the interest of tribal people, he said. Narzary also alleged that Sarania had been playing divisive politics in the BTC region between Boro and O Boro and sowed the seed of communal hatred. He demanded that the Government of Assam should ban the BTAD Army and O Boro Suraksha Samity for waging war against a particular tribal community of the State.

The tribal leader said that there should not be space for communal elements working against the tribal people, adding that no one had the right to annihilate tribal people in their protected tribal belts and blocks.

Narzary also slammed the ABSU and UPPL leaders for keeping mum while a section of BPF and Tribal Sangha leaders had supported issuing ST certificate to Sarania.
