BTC Executive Members visit Tamulpur Primary Health Centre

BAKSA: The infrastructure of Tamulpur Primary Health Centre is very poor. This is an important health centre at the Tamulpur subdivision of Baksa district and this health centre needs quick development. The development work of this health centre will be taken up soon. The remarks were made by BTC health department Executive Member Arup Kumar Dey on Sunday evening.

BTC EM Dey arrived at Tamulpur Primary Health Centre around 6 pm. He was accompanied by BTC Executive Member Ranendra Narzary, MCLA of Goreswar Pabitra Kumar Boro, government nominee MCLA Hemant Kumar Rava, former BTC Executive Member Deben Boro along with many BJP and UPPL leaders.

On attending the health centre, the Executive Member discussed with Dr Gautam Medhi the infrastructure of the Tamulpur PHC as well as other aspects. The executive member inspected the hospital boundary and houses. In an exclusive interview with reporters after visiting the health centre, the executive member said that if the health centre is in good conditions and with good infrastructure, patients should come and feel a lot better by coming to such an environment.

Since the basic health centre at Tamulpur is very poor in structure and since this health centre is the home constituency of BTC chief Pramod Boro, the development of the health centre's infrastructure will be done soon. Apart from Tamulpur, Borghuli, Goreswar and Suklai Serfang health centres in Baksa have been visited today and noticed various problems. The executive member also said that in addition to expediting the development of these health centres, various schemes for development of health centres across BTC have been undertaken.

Replying to a question on the alarming rise in COVID-19 transmission at Tarungaon in Kawli in Tamulpur subdivision, the executive member said that Corona is an infectious disease. It is natural for the infectious of the bridetore to increase in areas where the common people have violated government rules, moves without masks or moving without maintaining social distance. He urged all people to follow the rules and regulations set by the government to prevent covid transmission.

The Executive Member also announced that an ambulance will be provided from BTC administration at Tamulpur Primary Health Centre and Goreshwar Health Centre.
