BTC Set up Passenger Screening camp at Kokrajhar Railway Station

Kokrajhar: The department of Health, BTC has set up passenger screening camp at Kokrajhar Railway Station and Srirampur inter state gate on Friday to examine the passengers from different parts of the country and the state coming either by train or by road.

Sources from the Health department informed that the steps were taken to check the passengers coming from different places of the country. The passengers getting down at Kokrajhar Railway Station would be screened and if anyone found to be suspected they would be taken to isolated accommodation set up in seven different places of the district for medical examination, the sources said adding that the State was on high alert as the disease is increasing alarmingly in the country.

Meanwhile, the district administration of Kokrajhar has already ordered temporary closure of all bars, saloons, cinema halls, shopping malls, beauty parlours etc in view of the outbreak.

On the other hand, many offices are seen restricting the visitors, customers and only limited number of persons are allowed to enter. The officials are also working in shift mode.
