Certificate of Honours Presented to Dr Pabon Chandra Gogoi for Creative Work

JAGIROAD: The Bangiya Sangeet Parishad, West Bengal, in its 42nd annual convocation held in Guwahati on Sunday, conferred the Certificate of Honours to Dr Pabon Chandra Gogoi for his creative work on music and culture.

Dr.Gogoi is the founder and present Principal of ‘Sur Deul’, a musical school of the locality. The school got affiliation to Certificate of Honours Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapeeth, Lucknow in 1994 and Bangiya Sangeet Parishad in 1995. Dr Gogoi was working in Jagiroad College for the last 35 years. He originally hails from Sivasagar and is now settled at Jagiroad.
