Chabua Police arrested one person for selling adulterated petrol and diesel

DIBRUGARH: Chabua Police arrested Bikash Jain, son of Bimal Jain, owner of several petrol depots in the district, on charges of selling adulterated petrol and diesel and for having connection with oil thieves. A team of Chabua Police, headed by Officer in-charge of Chabua police station, Tulumoni Duwarah arrested Bikash Jain from his residence here at Kartick para on Monday in connection with the case no 139/20 registered at Chabua Police Station.

Police busted a gang of oil thieves near RD Dhaba, Chabua on NH-37 and recovered thousands of litres of adulterated diesel, kerosene and other incriminating materials. The police also arrested several persons involved in the crime. Based on their input, the police sources said that they arrested Bikash Jain.
