TINSUKIA: The inmates of Keshav Baheti Surjyaday Children Home at Gangabari near Makum organised an impressive cultural programme on 'Teachers Day'. The function was held in collaboration with HHWC (Helping Hand We Care) — an NGO.

The inmates felicitated the HHWC teachers, namely Lakhtara Gogoi, Mousumi Beria and others with citations and phulam gamosas. The children artistes of the Home also presented a group dance and other cultural items that enthralled the audience.

The HHWC gifted android phones to the Children Home to facilitate online classes. Dr Deepali Dhilon — a Melbourne based gynaecologist and also member of HHWC — presented the prizes to the winners of various competitions among the inmates.

Momy Syed, the founder of HHWC and presently settled at Australia has been supporting the Children Home in a number of ways. The inmates also felicitated the president of Surjyaday — Ranjit Dutta and also the secretary of KBS Children Home — Akhil Baruah.
