Civil Defence, Tinsukia celebrated the All India Civil Defense and Home Guard Day

DOOMDOOMA: Civil Defence, Tinsukia celebrated the All India Civil Defense and Home Guard Day on Wednesday. The flag was hoisted at the office premises by Acting Deputy Controller Rupanta Sonwal. After the cleaning campaign, an entertaining game was held among the volunteers. The Deputy Controller in-charge, Rupanta Sonwal explained the significance of Civil Defense and Home Guard Day. Then the tree-planting programme was conducted. The programme was inaugurated by Deputy Controller in-charge of Civil Defense, Rupanta Sonwal and Deputy Chief Warden Manoranjan Moran at the office of the Civil Defence Department in Tinsukia.
The DTO office was assisted by the Home Guard personnel and the ITI Acting Principal Maniram Das and trainer Apurba Baishya. After the planting of trees, a function was held at the office. The event was attended by local students.
