Clean Village & Green Village Abhiyan launched by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan

KALAIGAON: Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, has launched the national-level 'Clean Village and Green Village Abhiyan' to protect the environment.

Nehru Yuva Kendra of Udalguri also launched the Clean Village Green Village Abhiyan in Udalgur district. National Youth Volunteers along with affiliated youth clubs and Mahila Mandals throughout the district took part in the programme. As part of the programme, National Youth Volunteers and Youth Club leaders have started conducting village cleanliness drives and plantation of saplings with protective fencing.

More than 2,000 saplings have already been planted in the district. SR Deb, District Youth Coordinator, Nehru Yuva Kendra of Udalguri, said that this campaign would continue till September.
