Closing ceremony of golden jubilee of Demow High Medium Girls’ School on

DEMOW: The closing ceremony of the golden jubilee of Demow High Medium Girls’ School started on Friday. As per the schedule, on Friday the programme started with a cleanliness drive. After that Uday Dutta, Headmaster of Demow High Medium Girls School hoisted the flag of the school and Naranath Chetia, president of the Golden Jubilee of the organizing committee hoisted the Golden Jubilee flag. At the same time, 50 flags were hoisted by dignitaries and local organizations of Demow.

A sapling plantation programme was organized on the day. The smiti tarpan and ceremonial lamp lighting programmes were done jointly by Binanda Gogoi, founder of Demow High Medium Girls School and Mahendra Sarma, Block Elementary Education Officer. The Ranga Mancha door of the school was inaugurated by Dr.Anil Saikia, retired principal of Moran College. A former students’ programme was organized on the day. The earthen lamps were lit in the evening. In the programme Anil Kumar Dey, retired principal of Demow Higher Secondary School, Tarun Dutta, Retired Professor of Demow College, Ghana Kanta Gogoi, Retired Principal of Demow Higher Secondary School, other dignitaries of the areas along with the teaching staff and non-teaching staff, students were present.
