CM Himanta Biswa Sarma to visit Dhubri on Maha Ashtami

DHUBRI: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will visit Dhubri on October 13 and attend the programmes at Dhubri Circuit House. In view of his visit, Dhubri district administration instructed the concerning departments for black topping of GTB Road, renovation of Circuit House and other areas where the Chief Minister is likely to attend the programmes.

According to sources, in the district unit of BJP, Chief Minister would perform Maha Ashtami Puja in Mahamaya Temple at Bogribari and move to Dhubri town.

He is likely to visit Hari Sabha, Kalibari and Dhubri Gurudwara Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji besides other places in the town. Dhubri district BJP president Dr. Debamoy Sanyal said that they were ready to welcome Chief Minister.

" This is for the first time that a Chief Minister will visit Dhubri during Durga Puja and also spend a night here. Dhubri Puja is known for its grandeur and gaiety as over 100 pujas alone will be organised by community puja organisers here. So we all are proud to be part of this rare occasion," Dr Sanyal added.
