CM Sarbananda Sonowal Urges People to Follow the Path of Lord Krishna

MORIGAON: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal asked children and their parents to be inspired by the path of Lord Krishna while inaugurating the first-ever exceptional celebration of Krishna Janmashtami organized by the district committee of the Swami Vivekananda Chetana Mancha (SVCM), supported by Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Sanskar Bharati (SB) and Sankardev Vidya Niketan, in association with Krishna Gukulam, a reformation centre, at Tarunram field on Saturday.

Addressing 5,000 children in the traditional attire of Lord Krishna, Sarbananda Sonowal said that Lord Krishna had revealed the possibilities of various spiritual exercises, including karma yoga. “Karma is a natural reaction of a man. It leads to bindings and worldly trappings. Lord Krishna in the Gita teaches us ways to escape those bindings and trappings,” he said.

“Lord Krishna also propounds the divine theory of selfless deeds and non-attachment to the rewards of deeds,” added Sonowal.

The Chief Minister asked people to follow the path of Lord Krishna and urged youths to work for the progress of the State. The meeting was also attended by Saha Khetra Pracharak of Asom Khetra, Basistah Buzarbarua, Pramukh of Uttar Asom Prant Dharma Jagaran Mancha, Juges Shastri, and xattradhikars of xatras of Nagaon and Morigaon.

With an effort to awake the world towards spiritualism, Swami Vivekananda Chetana Moncha, Morigaon, supported by Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Sanskar Bharati(SB), Sankardev Vidya Niketan(SVN), in association with the ‘Krishna-Gukulam’, a reformation centre will celebrate Krishna Janmashtami with an exceptional programme today at Tarunram field. In presence of CM Sarbananda Sonowal, the Saha Khetra Pracharak of Asom Khetra Basistha Buzarbarua and the Pramukh Uttar Asom Prant Dharma Jagaran Moncha Juges Shastri, five thousand children perform the Lord Krishna dance in traditional Krishna attire.
