Competitions held on Children’s Day in Numaligarh

Numaligarh: Children’s Day was celebrated with much enthusiasm by various schools, organizations across various places of Numaligarh on Thursday. The Amarjyoti grammya puthibhoral of Morangi Ancholik Moina Parijat in collaboration with Alok Moina Parijat organized the day with a two-day long programme, which started on Wednesday. On the first day, various competitions like singing, drawing, poetry, quiz among children were held. A public meeting eas also held the next day; the forest man of India Jadav Payeng was present as chief guest in the meeting. Writer Hema Choudhary, social worker Imran Hussain, scribe Hemanta Saikia were also present in the meeting. Child Akashneel Hazarika of Alok Moina Parijat was present as president and speaker in the meeting.

Doigrung Jyoti Academy also celebrated the occasion with various cultural programmes. Hundreds of children along with parents were present who participated in various singing, drawing and poetry competitions. On the other hand, the SMSS Morangi regional committee in collaboration with Narayanpur LP School also celebrated Children’s Day at Narayanpur. Competitions like running, kabaddi, football, musical chair were also held to enhance the physical-mental ability of the children. A public meeting was held, attended by SMSS Morangi regional committee president Pintu Gogoi and other dignitaries.
