Red Horns Division Army distributes Bicycles to Girl Students on Children’s Day

Kokrajhar: A unit of the Red Horns Division of the army celebrated Children’s Day by distributing bicycles to girl students of Kokrajhar district under Operation Sadhbhavna. A total of 60 bicycles were distributed at 4 locations to facilitate the movement of girl students from remote areas to enable them to pursue their education. This benevolent action by the Army will go a long way in empowering poverty-stricken girls to enable them to scale new heights through education. This kind gesture of the Army will help these girls to come at par with the mainstream.

Moreover, they can influence their less fortunate peers to follow the path of education and self-reliance. These measures undertaken by the Army assist in the overall development of the region, apart from building a permanent place in the hearts of the locals. The event was attended by many members of civil administration, Gaon Budhas, large number of teachers and students of Kokrajhar district.
