Competitions on traditional games on Rongali Bihu held at Lakhimpur

LAKHIMPUR: On Monday, a series of competitions on traditional games were held as part of the second day agenda of the 65th celebration of the Rongali Bihu by Lakhimpur Kendriya Rongali Bihu Sanmilan. The series of competition, which was open for all, was inaugurated by Lakhimpur District Sports Officer Chemi Saikia. Bihu delicacy making competition was inaugurated by social worker Iti Chakravarti Hazarika. It was followed by Saru Bihuwoti competition, which was inaugurated by academician, writer Dr Bonti Gogoi Howborah. From the evening, State level Bor Bihuwoti competition was held. The programme was inaugurated by Minakshi Perme, the Circle Officer of the North Lakhimpur Revenue Circle. On the other hand, poem recitation, debate, Diha Nam, nuptial song recitation, Toka Bihu, State-level Husari competitions will be held on Tuesday.
