Competitions organized by Aryabhatta Science Centre

GOLAGHAT, Jan 16: Under the aegis of Aryabhatta Science Centre, Golaghat, district-level series of competitions were organized recently at Golaghat Government Bezbaruah HS School.

Earlier, a block-level competition was organized and winners of total eight education blocks in Golaghat took part in the district-level competition. The programme started with hoisting of flag of Aryabhatta Science Centre by retired teacher Prasanna Bhuyan. After that, the inaugural speech was delivered by Principal of Golaghat Government Bezbaruah HS School, Rajen Bora. Thereafter, model competition was inaugurated by Dr Putul Saikia, Principal of DR College, Golaghat. Exhibition of science models, extempore speech, drawing and quiz on science related topics and idea making competitions were held.

A prize distribution ceremony was held in the end which was presided over by retired teacher, Arup Kumar Dowerah. District Development Commissioner of Golaghat, Orpah Baglary attended the programme as chief guest.
