Construction work of Golden Jubilee Building of Lakhimpur Commerce College inaugurated

LAKHIMPUR: The construction of the Golden Jubilee Building of Lakhimpur Commerce College was inaugurated on Monday. The building, being constructed on the occasion was initiated by the College Management Committee president Dr. Muhidhar Pujari. The inauguration of the construction work of the Golden Jubilee Bhawan was conducted with vedic tradition by the Principal of Lakhimpur Commerce Dr. Lohit Hazarika by cracking a coconut. The ceremonial programme was supervised by Librarian Runjun Barua, Head Assistant Jagat Dutta, Accountant Deepak Barbara, Professor Aban Chandra Barman and Kuldeep Narayan Dutta and all the teachers, non-teaching staff, students and alumni. Vice-Principal Gopal Kumar Chetri, Senior Professors Sazzad Hussain, Padmeswar Dihingia, Pankaj Lochan Das, Prashanta Bora, journalist Deva Kumar Saikia, filmmaker Arunjyoti Bora and students’ union office bearers also participated in the function.
