Couple tied the knot under COVID-19 guidelines in Bajali, Pathsala

PATHSALA: The groom Saranga Sarma from Barpeta tied the nuptial knot with Barasha Goswami of Gobindapur village here recently following the norms of lockdown. The locals here termed the marriage

as lockdown marriage. Both of them wore masks, used hand sanitizer and performed the religious marriage formalities with limited relatives. There was no arrangement of music and party.

During the marriage, in lieu of party, the groom distributed masks and relief to around one hundred people of the locality. People extended heartiest greetings to the couple. It may be mentioned that, Assam's tally of positive COVID-19 cases is rising. On Thursday, the State Health Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma has informed that seven more people have tested positive for coronavirus taking the total number of cases to 89.
